The armchair No. 366 is a classic of Polish design of the so-called PRL period (Polish People’s Republic). The armchair was designed in 1962 by Polish interior designer Józef Maria Chierowski. It was made in a famous Polish factory of furniture in Swiebodzice. According to the idea of contemporary design, this piece of furniture was thought to fit the needs of the user. Thanks to the well-measured proportions, it was not only comfortable, but also fitted perfectly in every space, even of the smallest flats. Hence, it was so popular among the customers, that it became a bestseller of the PRL period. The number of produced armchairs “No. 366” reached 100 000 000. Chierowski’s armchair has been produced incessantly for 20 years. This armchair has been completely restored: strengthened construction, new varnish, and new upholstery.
